John, You may not have the chemical diluted with enough water or you may not have enough tank agitation. Also when useing atrazine, it"s very important to rinse the rig out with plenty of clean water at the end of the day. Avoid leaving mixed product over night. If you have to do this, flush the boom out with clean water when you stop spraying, then stir the mix with a shovel or rake before you operate the pump in the morning. After applying atrazine we de-contaminate the rig with a mixture of soap powder and washing soda and inspect every filter and nozzle. This cleans the system and neutralizes the chemical.
