I grew up in SE Michigan. My father and his father grew strawberries when I was very young. They only had a Monkey wards walk behind tractor.
They also grew veggies, but those weren't to sell. My mothers people were farmers, but had sold out to the subs by the time I was old enough to remember much. They did truck farming, with 2 Fordson tractors. They grew most of thier own food. We had gardens, but until I moved to the sticks, never had a tractor. I bought an H, restored it, and later a 300u. No real thought behind color, just what I saw availible in the neighborhood. I kind of like the red stuff now!!!
I am getting more ambitious now - trying to plant with a 2 row jd 70 and some other stuff. I guess this is better than going to the bar - cheap thearphy!! :)
