That picture was taken I believe around a year ago. It was taken just north of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The railroad pulling them is the Iowa Northern Rail Company, a short line that runs from Cedar Rapids to Manly Iowa. It was the 1st of 3 unit trains of John Deere tractors heading for export to China. I believe this train had 270+/- tractors on it. They were supposed to have more but the factory had not produced them yet. If I remember right, these were headed east to a port to be loaded. We work with the Iowa Northern at the elevator that I work at and thought that I still had the email that the President of the IANR had sent out with that picture and all the details but can"t seem to find it.
