My wife and I moved from ND to AZ two years ago to get our first out of college jobs. Ever since we arrived down there I've been less than pleased with customer service and the general way people treat each other. We have been thinking about taking a big pay cut to move back home to ND... but when we are home during the summer, or as I am now during my spring break, we are discovering that customer service is all but dead everywhere you go. When did people decide that the bottom line of $$ is more important than people? Even most of the neighbors around here ask how much you are going to pay when you call them for help... only a couple of us that are willing to help out just because it's a nice thing to do. Hopefully those of us that still believe in being decent can hang on to our values and begin to sway society back in the right direction.
