Customer service, like what used to be called "common courtesy", is a rarity these days no matter where you go. Most large (and too many small) companies just don't care any more about quality of service, just volume. If they lose you as a customer, they don't care as there is someone else waiting to come along. Banks are notorious for crappy service, but there are still a few that aren't too bad. Eventually, when enough people out there feel like we do, companies will have to go back to giving good service, if not for out of just plain decency, then because it will help the bottom line.
