Bought a 1962 Allis Chalmers 272 (British built updated Allis B) last year. The bolt holding the strap which tightened the generator belt had sheared off in the block. The farmer had tightened the fan belt by jamming a small rock between the generator & the manifold. He said it had worked perfectly since about 1982 !!!
Shows farmers are the world's greatest inovators & engineers.
