We had a turkey incident around here some years ago. There was a wild turkey staggering down a main highway, so the State Police called the rangers who found out that the turkey was drunk, from having eaten some fermented berries. I'll bet that turkey had a headache the next morning. I wish I'd saved the clipping. Funnier than heck. certainly funnier than having one in your house, trashing it and crapping all over the place.

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house. The gentleman no longer farmed because the entire area was developed with housing and light industry. I had stopped several times and knocked on the door but no one would answer.
