Sounds like the little dog is doing a good job. As long as she don't have a bunch of junk piles I don't know what else you would do. Those critters move around some and if there is a way they will get in. You might check around her house, look for cracks in the stone wall, etc, It don't take a very big hole for a rat. Now mice are another matter, they are almost imposable to keep out. At least I have never lived in a house that was tight enough to keep mice out.
