The fuel isn't hot and dry. The alcohol in the mix intended for a gasoline only air/fuel mixture will lean the air/fuel ratio. This will usually increase the combustion temperatures.
Properly jetted, the higher the % alcohol, the cooler the combustion champer temps to some extent.
