Try the "Ford Board" on this website. Also the 9N board. There are folks there who know a lot about them. The appropriately dubbed "SOS" transmission gave a lot of buyers a lot of problems and parts are hard to come by. We tried one in the spring of '59. It was a gold demonstrator which I'm told is a sought after collectors tractor today. I talked my dad out of buying it and we were later happy we didn't, given all the problems. Ford never was able to perfect the SOS but it later became the basis of the very successful powershift.
