Hi RAB, You mention 2 bleed valves on the CAV pump. I know about the obvious one on the side of the unit. There is the overflow on the cover. The level indicated is equal to fuel in tank. I have blown and sucked on this line. Yuck. Nothing.
Herb's problem describes mine perfectly. In time gone by, opening the side bleed would indicate the pressure of the pump which visible by removing the end plate. This plate accepts the fuel from filter. There is no indication of pressure from the side bleeder. I hope you can wade thru all this. Who ever designed this dude and the way it is mounted needs a cranial examination. Be happy to oblige. Thank You Philip Jensen
