The figure 5940 in this formula is what is known as a constant ie it remains the same no matter what the other values are. In the spraying calibration calculation, there are different units of measurement used, such as acres and inches, hours and minutes. For the fomula to work the units have to be the same; such as ft. and square ft, minutes and minutes. 5940 is used to do the necessary conversions in on step. So where do we get the number? I don't know, but I am working on it. Hopfully I'll have an answer for you in a couple of days. Watch this space.
