Hi! Has anyone used straight vegetable oil (SVO) in a MF 230? Or any other tractor? I've found a SVO forum, and basicly what you do is mount an second tank on the truck, tractor etc, have a heating system to heat the oil( most often the coolent line). start up on normal diesel, wait till the engine's warm, and use a fuel switch to switch to SVO, before you shut down, switch back to normal diesel and wait till the lines, pump etc, have diesel. I still need to do more research, but it definitely seems promising. Anyone use biodiesel? Two side questions. 1, how long is a ford 8n transmission dipstick?and where is the full mark? 2, where are the marks on a MF230 engine oil dipstick (I can't make them out on the stick) Thanks once again!
