In ILL I belive they can draft without asking , but most chiefs won't since they belive they will damage pumps on trucks . but this state could use some real firefighters bacause we have a lot of want to be's . Our band of local want to be's usually takes 20+ minutes to respond to a fire 1 mile from station .
