Up here emergency care is good but if you aren't gonna die from a problem it is a long wait to see a specialist. Many of our doctors work here to get experience then are hired by higher paying US hospitals. All part of the brain drain. My wife has been to the hospital 4 times since Jan for severe abdominal pain and has a CT scan etc. They determined it wasn't life threatening so she has had to wait months to see a specialist to diagnose it. Many people simply drive to Boston from here and pay out of pocket to see a specialist quickly.
