Mark; Just like anything else, the climate and conditions of operation are going to have a big effect. You said inside, but if temp and humidity had wide flux's then its possible that a lot of humity built up inside there. Was it in the desert in Arizona or in a wetter climate? I would drain the bottom of all the cases looking for water before running, sounds like you have started it so you may have to look for milky appearance to them. A good idea is to crack the drains and see if water comes out before starting stored equip. For sure change it all out before running for long. Dont forget to change the anti-freeze, it loses it ability to prevent rust.
