First off, start with your banker and make sure you can keep writing checks.....(only half joking). I believe most folks start inside and work out: engine work as required, tranny, rearend. Wheel bearings and steering as needed, if needed. Search for replacement parts if need be, electrical, lights, accessories, gages. The cosmetics and paint come last. One exception might be to do some casting painting as you go, if you want full rust protection and if you want components painted before assy. Sheet metal and final painting come last. However you do it, welcome to the club! It is rewarding to see and hear the fruits of your labors and know you saved one from the junk man! Good luck, and remember, there's a lot of smarts on this board. (I just don't happen to be one of them!)LOL
