I recently purchased a 30' trailer w/ vacuum/hyd brakes. I think it is going to be to much for a pickup, even a dually. I am going to put a 2500-3000 gal water tank on it and nurse my sprayer. I will have to use my 377 peterbuilt to pull it. It has air brakes. What are my options? One gentleman suggested I take off the vacuum part and install a Carlisle electric/hyd unit. It will cost at least $600. Will need a elect. brake controllerin the semi also. It would then be compatable with any vehicle with a 5th wheel and a electric contoller. it could conceivabley by pulled with a 3500 dually if it had a light load on it someday. Please advise on what to do!
