Hello John ---leave the 6v system and 6v battery as they are.....be sure the lights are turned off as they cant take the 12v....connect the 12v up to the 6v battery, make your last conection to the neg.post of 12v battery.....continue to start your tractor as you always have.....except only short cranking on starter....count to 10 then stop after 3 tries feel starter motor, see if it is warm ,ok -- hot stop....look for reason engine is not starting....good luck........Don
