Who is the brain child at Ford that specifies what coolant to use ????..What transmission oil to use in their Ford trucks ????
Get this , 2003 F-550 with 6.6 diesel and 5 speed automatic takes Mercon SP transmission oil.. Has anyone tried to buy this stuff???You can't buy it from a parts store.. Only available from Ford at a mere $ 4.40 per quart !!!!. Gold colored coolant that can't be mixed with any other type of coolant....They apparently want their cut of the parts business... Try to buy transmission filters from the parts store...Last I tried , not available... Sweet , Huh??
