OT: Crossbow herbecide

Was looking for some advice on crossbow but didn't specify on the topic other than herbicide.I have a ton of big,big briar patches and small brush along an acre of hill across from a branch. can't get a tractor in or across and have work some of by hand.Tough going. Was looking for any advice on crossbow from anybody who has use it or any other ideas. Cannot access branch or creek without cleaning it up. Thanks in advice.
