Gray market tractors were designed for a different market and never meant to be in the USA. Some do not have necessary saftey options that other models have. Companies are not required to supply parts for gray market machines and most do not. The comparison of Farm Trac to Ford is not correct. Farm Trac is a division of Long. There are actual dealers in the USA for that brand. The gray market tractors are a problem for dealers when customers come in requesting parts for them. Most dealers do not have access to books, because they were meant for another part of the world. All in all, stay away from gray market tractors.
