Kubota seems to build nice tractors, and are made in Japan. The 5003 series is only availible in 2wd, those are made in India. The John Deere 5205 is also an economy tractor, and 4wd is availible for just a few thousand more. I think your going to be kicking yourself for buying a 2wd loader tractor for forestry work, especially when 4wd is only about $5,000 more. Forestry jobs and landing sites often get muddy, and I'm sure you'd like to be able to pick up big mouthfulls of brush with your grapple and just be able to drive darn near anywhere to deposit it, I got a 2wd and I know how flusterating it is to pick up something, and then be stuck because it transfered weight off the rear. The 4wd is worth the extra coin in my opinion, both in alot of increased capability, and the tractor will retain a whole lot more resale value. The John Deere 5205 is 50hp and it is made in the USA. If you did get the 5205 4wd with a loader and grapple, it would probably cost around $30-$35,000.
