Works for me. An easy charger can be made from a wall wart of around 300mA set to ~9 volt. Makes a fair trickle charger that I put on the battery when the temp dives below 10 and take off when its above that- basically it may be more of a heater than charger in that instance. Some generators have a third brush adjustment and you should try for around 10 volts output to do it right.
