I am not an expert here, but I had a 4430 with quad range that developed the same problem. Initially, the trans light would flash when shifting...then it eventually would stay on when the rpm was low. These lights indicate low pressure and in some models, high temperature as well. Since it goes out with higher rpm, I would assume it is indicating a low pressure situation. So, you could have a multitude of problems...a bad pressure pump, bad internal pump, or a high pressure leak somewhere that is causing a low pressure situation. For my tractor, the initial problem was leaking packings in the rockshaft...but the icing on the cake that was when the 2 speed went. Good luck...hope it turns out to be an easy fix for you. Speaking from experience...I tried to trouble shoot my tractor myself and spent a bit of money as well as wasting my time. Find a good JD mechanic that does a bit of moonlighting and pay him to bring his gauges and troubleshoot it at your home. Then you will have a pretty good idea what the problem is and how much it will cost to fix. Tim

Free settlers started to arrive, they followed the explorers across the mountains and where land was suitable set up farms. T
