Our pastor just got back from a trip to Slidell - just across the lake from NO. Says the destruction is truly of "Biblical proportions." Showed a number of pictures during his sermon last week. Says that there are so many people down there now trying to help with rebuilding, that they"re unable to host any more at this time. Has suggested that we hold off until fall at the earliest. The rebuilding itself is estimated at more than five years at this time, the destruction is so great. Yes, the government is working down there, but no one, can get it done fast enough, and the govenment is truly the slowest!
