Don't give up hope yet. We keep a barn cat to keep the rodents out of the feed in the barn. Ours went missing. After 2 weeks we went down to the pound and picked out the first cat that walked over to us when we put out hand out. Took her home.. when we pulled up to the barn, there was our scruffy barn cat a few pounds lighter... thus we now have 2 barn cats.. etc..
