The 3010=4010--shift the pto speed with a spring loaded shaft that pushes on a 1/8 in pin inside the tractor to hold it in 540 rpm-if the shaft comes loose it bends this pin and the pto will not turn till you split it and replace the pin---you need to look at a parts book to see what I'm talking about-its hard to explain but ask a dealer about it when you look at the parts book
