Thats the same time that I was a Service Manager at a Ford Dealership. If you are losing spark, take the distributor cap off. Inside there is one screw holding down the electronic module. take that screw out and put it on the grinder and shorten it. Ford had a problem with that screw being to long and bottoming out. That screw tightens down on the ground lug for the ignition system. There was a service bulliten. It was a mechanic in my shop that actually figured out this problem and brought it to Ford Motor Company"s attention. Hope this helps. BTW The problem was, the engine would actually die while running. Would crank but no fire. Let it set for awhile and engine components would cool enough that the screw would make connection inside distributor again. Engine would then start. If this sounds like your problem, try my fix.
