The word on the street is that "peak oil" is happening right now. Most of the conservative experts had predicted this to happen by 2020. Several experts say it is happening now or in the near future (2010). Check out EV world dot com, lots of interesting information there. Most of the readership includes engineers from the auto industy...Isn"t that ironic? Anyway it is just another perspective backed up with a lot of facts. http://www.evworld.com/ Personally, I think the demand for oil is out pacing the production, and we will continue to see high oil prices. Ethanol and biodiesel will help ease the pain, they are building manufacturing plants like crazy here in the midwest. Will we ever be oil independent? I hope so! Hydrogen powered vehicles are a joke- why? because where are you going to get the hydrogen in the first place? OIL&Natural gas. Anyway, I"d start paying attention to battery technology today, industry experts are seeing a boom in there business. It might be a wise place to put your money. My dollar"s worth of an opinion...(because my 2 cents doesn"t matter anymore due to inflation!)

Flax provided the fibre which w
