If running windows xp do a control-alt-delete and look at the task manager. Click performance check to see cpu usage, should be small and Page file usage. This is something to look at to see if you are using to much CPU or Memory. also check networking, and processes. If you have win98 click start, control pannel, system then click on the performance tab. Check system resource and memory. Then though the windows 98 machine away or upgrade.
