Not sure about Ford, but Chev/GMC max trailer load rating for a 3/4 ton p-up is 10500, must be fifth wheel hitch and 454/7.4 liter engine. In Mn DL classes are A-B-C. Some states use number classes( 1-2-3-etc) C-single unit up to 26000#, trailer up to 10000# B-single unit up to legal load limit A-simgle unit & combination up to legal load limit. endorsements added for motorcycle, bus over 10 passengers, tanker over 1000#, air brakes(included on class A), haz mat, double & triple trailer. If the cop at scene of any accident, or roll thru stop light, is doing his/her job, the whole rig will be impounded until you get legal by doing 1 of 3 chioces. 1- upgrade your D.L. to cover the weight/vehicle class. 2-remove & store the excess weight at your own expense. 3- hire someone with a strong enough truck to handle the load.
