Tomturkey, very easy--get a pack of utility knife blades, a utility knife, straight 2 x 6 = 20 and three to four pair of vise grip. A helper would be good. Lay the belt on a flat surface--a 2 x 12 = 20 would be best. Clamp the belt to the 2 x 6 and cut along the side of it, lay your knife as flat as possible and take your time to do it correct the first time. several passes may be needed, but a half hr. will be enough time with a helper. I have never tried it to a old leather belt, just rubber. Dave NE IA
