I would try shooting if there was some way I could be sure I wouldn't put a hole in the tin roof. Maybe a lower-performance air rifle? As to the fish line, do the pigeons break it when they hit it? If it holds together, I would try it, but if it breaks, I'd end up with bits of fishline all over the shed. Also, I store some stuff up in the rafters, so it may or may not work for me.
