You have listed most of the pro's and con's. Myself the hurt feelings issue is very big..somepeople just dont understand (even if it is a very special exhibit). My thinking is if the exhibit is not in any way like any of the other exhibits and it is interesting to the show.... then pay might be very fine. The shows that charge (or make you memebers) to show should wave that at lest for your GOLD DEERE no matter what.. What I am most concerned with in the paying an exhibit is what some places are trying to do to the Flea Market people--- raising the cost for flea market space every year and then giving away that same space to someoen--- it has run off more than one GOOD vender to some shows..
