If its cast iron, soak it in white vinegar or if that is not working wash it off and soak in Coca-cola (yes, the 'real thing.') if that doesn't get it, move up to CLR. Just don't soak it too long. The vinegar is the weakest. That is why i reccommend start with it. And if its dark vinegar it kinda leaves a pulpy residue you have to get off with soap.
