JOHN DEERE 2510 PROBLEMS

I need some advice on 2 problems I am having with a 1966 JD 2510 gas tractor narrow front. Tractor fires right up and runs very good, looks good as well. The clutch when released the tractor seem to hop excessivly or jump untill you throttle up and start moving. I have not pulled anything to see if the clutch is slipping since I just bought it Monday. 2nd problem it that the 3 point seem to take a long time to raise and is kinda jumpy. Oil is full, power steering works great. Any help to determine the problems would be a great help.
