Like RAB said you can run a bit colder plug or the same one with propane but probably one thing to try first is close your plug gap down to about .015". For LPG and natural gas fuels a plug gap of .015 -.018" is recommended. Engines will run smoother with the smaller gap. Reason why the colder plug and lower gap is the fuel should be a dryer vaporized charge requiring less fire to ignite. If you're running out of vapor in tank and start putting in too much liquid and not a good vaporized charge of propane it isn't going to run well either.
