Prince PTO Pump for Loader

I've got a MF 34 loader on my IH 2400 (454) tractor. It's a 39 hp tractor. I've got a 540 and a 1000 rpm PTO shaft available to use and install a Prince PTO pump. The loader has four double acting cyls. I�d say it�s a medium size loader. My questions: Is one rpm shaft better suited for this application than the other and what gpm size pump for the application? Prince has a wide range, from 12 to 21 gpm. Thanks.
