Dis-connect switch

More and more, I am begining to think that dis-connect switches are the way to go. Allan's post below added to this opinion. Friend has a tractor at his "summer home". No reason for it to run its battery down every month, but it does. Dis-connect switch took care of that too. Besides, Its at a place where kids "could" get to it.
Mention of 24 volt systems reminded me of washing my Case 1200 and having the wet 24 volt battery short to the mounting bracket and turned it red hot til I pulled the cables. 24 volts is just like a welder.
