I just noticed in the header, I said the blower was on an M. It was on an A, Around the same hp as my AC B. I have used the old Allis with a drag behind V blower for years and it handles it OK, but if the snow is deep, it's a pain driving over the snow before you blow it.
The IH blower is single stage but has an auger that feeds the snow to the center before throwing it out hte chute. That's why I thought it might have to run faster than the old one.
