No, you arent too young, as long as you have decent money saved for a down payment down. I was 18 when I first borrowed money from the bank, 20 and a full time college student and full time farmer when I borrowed money and bought my first farm. Only financing I could get was 12 months interest only at 2% over prime with 25% down. Hardest thing I ever did was try to sleep knowing I had to make $20,000 a year to pay the interest and needed to make double that for the payment so I wouldnt be paying for it forever. I did it, so can you, took me 6 years of working 2 and 3 jobs while going to school. I didnt get married for another 5, didnt waste a cent on anything that I didnt have to have (still cant eat $.25 a box macaronni and cheese, canned tuna, or raman noodles).
