Market Garden Tractor??

A question for the seasoned farmers out there: We grow market vegetables. We started out with a small plot but it has grown to the point that a tiller just won't cut it anymore. I need something that will turn over a cover crop (clover, alfalfa, vetch etc.), mow small amounts of hay (up to an acre at a time), cultivate row crops, prepare a seed bed and do odd jobs like pulling a wagon. I have a 900 Ford but it is just too big and heavy to manuver in our 1/4 acre strips. I have thought about a Cub but a tobacco grower who lives next to me said that they were lacking on power and "you have to use those skinny little shovels". Is this true? I need something that I can use sweeps or larger shovels with if I want to. I also thought about a Super A but they tend to be pretty pricey here in tobacco land, USA. Same thing for a John Deere M. What are some thoughts on these issues?? Is there anybody out there who is doing something similar to what I have described? Thanks, in advance, for the help.
