there should be another number in front of the L, either a 3,4,5 3L is 3/8 4L is 1/2 5L is 5/8 the 545 is 54.5" long, if it was a 5l500, it would be 5/8 X 50 inches long Gate sizes are real confusing, the 10 or 67 series is 3/8" with the last two being size the 20 or 68 series are 1/2 by the last two numbers being the lenghth, and the 30 or 69 series are 5/8" by the last two numers are lenghth. These measure the INSIDE diameter of the belt, the A,B,C,D,E series belts measure the outside diameters of the belts, makes it a little more confusing to measure.
