Ken: In 1971 I built a new dairy barn facility complete with milking parlor, office and wash room facilites. Every Sun morning my dad would come for a visit just as I finished milking. Usually we would sit out front facing the highway and enjoying the morning sun. We usually used 5 gallon pails for seats. He lived about 1/2 mile away and always walked over. Our road led to lakes, fishing, other sports, etc. Lot of traffic on Sun. morning.

One such Sunday morning the bathroom fixtures had just been delivered and were setting on pad in front of building. Dad decided to use the thrown for his seat that morning. Finally after about a 1/2 hour of folks going by tooting their horns and waving, My wife emerged from the house advising that dad did look rather silly sitting on the thrown in front of the barn. Dad advised her he could flip the seat and take his pants down if folks were getting so much enjoyment from this. Marg. advised that wouldn't be necessary. I think we still have a photo of dad and I sitting out there in front of the barn. A couple of grand daughters thought it too good to miss. I think mom was sent out as a decoy just to keep us in position and talking.
