#1.) I am running Windows ME on the computer I am typing this on, and find nothing wrong with it. It gives FAR less flaky problems than 2 computers we have XP PRO on. In what way do you find it to be the worst version ever? I suspect it's more of a motherboard issue than a Windows ME issue that a USB 2.0 port is not available... likely your motherboard was made before the USB2.0 standard was written. #2.) I am not absolutely sure this will solve your problem, but have you looked into getting a USB 2.0 card for the 'puter. The price is right, too!
