I was just refused last week when I tried to register a two axle equipment trailer I have that has papers that show it as a two-axle camper. I've been using Maine plates for years on my bigger stuff. The place that just refused me told me it is against Maine state law - so I took their word for it. The following is the place I used and what they say about it. From http://www.mbi-trailers.com/register/ They are listed as a Statutory Agent for the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles and state the following: "Maine will not register live-in or camper type trailers for out of state residents" I've been to Staabs site and not seen what you have (at http://www.staabagency.com ) about them permitting it?
