Try going over to vintagesleds dot com or retrosnow dot com, lots of good info there. Also the Vintage Snowmobile Club of America (VSCA) has a website. Skiroule like hundreds of smaller sled makers did not survive the 70"s, Alouette, Chapparal and others bit the dust at the time. Sno Jet was purchased by Kawasaki, and in 1982 Kawi gave up on the sled business. Artic Cat bought Scorpion as some point in the late 70"s and when Artic Cat went bankrupt in "81 the Scorpion nameplate died with them. Artic Cat came back. The surviving snowmobile makers like Bobardier (Ski-Doo) Polaris, Yamaha and Cat all make ATV"s and other products. I grew up in Todd County MN in the 70"s to mid "80"s, I rode old Ski Doos, had a 1970 12/3 Olympique, a "68 Super 370 (opposed twin, ran like stink when I could keep it going) and later a "71 Elan that was my favorite. I moved due to jobs etc to the southeast and have not been in the saddle so to speak since 1990 but I plan to try and make it back home once a year or so to do some riding. I will always have a soft spot for the old one lunger sleds with bogie wheels.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
