: I would like to hear anyones ideas on the best way to clean gum and varnish off of an old carb.
: This one has sat for about 30 years and is coated inside and out. I would like to hear anyone else's methods for getting them clean.
: I would like to soak it in something to get the inside really clean.
: Thanks to all who respond.

Thanks for all of the great advice. I went with
the Strip-Eze (mainly because I already had
some on the shelf) That took most of the gum
and varnish off and then I boiled it in a pot
with baking soda for a while to finish getting it clean. With a little cleaning with the wire wheel
it looks as good as new. I was surprised how easily the jets and other parts came out after setting this long.

Once again thanks for all the great advice!!
