I believe in some cases tractor roll overs / flips are a combination of poor operator judgment and worn out equipment.
I've got a good friend that moved back to the family farm. In the last 2 years he has tipped his tractor/loader over 3 times. He has a 350 Farmall wide front with a F11 Farmhand loader w/ grapple.
After the first accident (he had the loader up to a second story window getting a load of old plaster/lath, and went to back up while turning...oops), the loader frame is so sprung and bent that the last time it tipped over, he was stopped and getting off the tractor to cut the strings on a round bale in the bucket. When your tractor tips over standing still, it's time to take a good look at what's wrong! Out of the 3 accidents, he's only been in the hospital a total of 3 days...so he thinks he's about even.
